The coffee shell particles processed by the coffee shell granulator turn the waste coffee shell into a new energy source. These fuels are 2-3 centimeters long and cylindrical in shape. Mainly using coffee shells, wood waste, etc. as raw materials.
After processing, it can be used as renewable energy to provide fuel for drying fresh coffee fruits and drying tea leaves.
Coffee shell bio-pellet fuel has the characteristics of high calorific value and high density, and is easy to store and transport. The solid and gas emissions after combustion are far lower than the emissions from coal combustion.
In addition to coffee shells, this granulator can also process sawdust, branches, rice husks, peanut shells, shavings, bamboo chips, bamboo powder, peanut skins, sunflower seed shells, furfural residue, wine residue, sugarcane bagasse, corn cobs, coconut shells and straw into biomass pellet fuel.
Currently, there are three major series of fuels on the market, namely pellet, block, and rod. Coffee husk pellet is generally suitable for households, small and medium-sized power plants, and boilers. According to industry statistics, sales of granular products are now higher than those of rod and block products at home and abroad.
Advantages of Coffee husk Pellets Made By Coffee Husk Pelletizer
Bagasse pellets made by sugarcane bagasse pellet machine are used in many places due to its convenience and comfort. It has the following advantages:
Model Specifications | HKJ25J | HKJ35J | HKJ45J |

01
Step 1: Grinding
Coffee husk is crushed with the help of coffee husk hammer mills or a coffee husk grinder to reduce the size of the coffee shell and finally produce a fine powder.
02
Step 2: Drying
Coffee shell has a high moisture content of 40-70%, depending on the olive oil extraction process. Then a rotary drum dryer is essential. The rotary dryer has a slight inclination, acting as a conveying device and stirrer. The goal of the drying process is to reduce the moisture of coffee shell to approximately 12%, which is suitable for pelletizing.
03
Step 3: Pelleting
After drying, the coffee shell can be pelletized directly without any further treatment. The ring die coffee shell pelleting machine is more proper for coffee shell pellet production. And the ring die compression ratio should be higher than 1:6.5. No adhesive added in this procedure.
04
Cooling
Coffee husk pellets discharged from coffee husk pellet maker are high in temperature and moisture content. Our counter current coffee husk pellet cooler is used to remove pellet heat as well as the moisture content to ensure pellets quality and shelf-life.
05
Step 5: Sieving
The powder materials or unshaped coffee husk pellets are sieved and send to the coffee husk pellet granulator machine again.
06
Step 6: Packaging
These coffee husk pellets are then packed into different capacity bags for distribution. The coffee shell pellets are packed either manually or through a bagging machine. Packets used should have your brand name and logo. It is better to use waterproof bags or packets so that pellets do not get damaged by coming in contact with water.
1.Make coffee residue into fuel or coffee chaff compost, which one has more economic value?
Economically speaking, not all discarded grinds are suitable for composting, and not all companies prefer to dispose of their waste through composting, and some coffee companies even have to pay to dispose of their waste.
Therefore, this derivative of coffee charcoal can solve the problem of heavy coffee waste disposal by these coffee companies. Not only are there financial incentives, but the model also follows the ecological concept of waste reuse and can be shared with consumers, investors and other audiences, which is an external expression of a positive and good image of the company.
If you want to compost your coffee grounds, many cafes and coffee chains offer free space for their customers to take away and use in their gardens. But be warned: Research shows that coffee grounds must be composted for at least 98 days before being put into plants. Because coffee contains high concentrations of caffeine, chlorogenic acid and tannins that are toxic to plants.

2.There is a British company that processes coffee grounds into biofuel for use in diesel buses. Is this more economical than processing biomass pellets?
There is indeed such a company in the UK. This British company converts 7,000 tons of coffee grounds into biofuel every year. In 2017, the company developed a coffee-based biofuel for London's diesel buses, but it was not economically sustainable. The company then shifted its focus to producing solid fuel for domestic and industrial use.
While these fuels also release greenhouse gases when burned, they displace other carbon-based fuels. The company estimates that turning coffee grounds into solid fuel reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 80% during the recycling process compared to landfilling them.
The company purifies used coffee grounds, removing paper cups or plastic bags. It then passes through a dryer and pellet screen, and finally becomes pellet fuel or coffee logs. The company also uses another process to extract natural flavors from coffee grounds.
Coffe husk pellets are mainly used in industrial boilers, such as those used for heating and drying greenhouses, while coffee logs are mainly used in home fireplaces.
Coffee is high in calories and is a great fuel. They burn 20% hotter and 20% longer than logs.
The company's commercial pellet fuel is certified by the UK's Sustainable Fuels Research Agency, and coffee logs have lower particle emissions than most wood logs.
