Chicken Feed Production Line Process Design
You can feed the chickens anything you like to make them growing bigger,so why you still need chicken feed making machines? If you feed them normal grains only or let them to find food themselves, it may take 1 year for them to grow big enough before you can eat them. Such a long time, you may start to love those chicken and do not want to eat them any more.
So what we are talking about now is the complete feed, or called formula feed, is to set up a reasonable nutrition proportion in the daily diet to meet the needs of different chickens in different growing periods. We will need different feeds when we want to table chicken to grow quickly from baby to strong cock in 3-4 months or we want make the hens to lay eggs earlier. How to make broiler feed? For powder & mash feed production
If you want to make mash feed or powder feed for laying chickens, the manufacturing process: Cleaning -- Crushing -- Mixing -- Packing (The specific process needs to be customized according to the actual needs of customers, and the chicken feed production process and chicken breeding technology of different countries and regions will be different)
- Generally, we can divide the raw materials into two parts:one need to be crushed,the other need not. So when we feed material to the chicken feed production line, we will first separately feed them to different channels: particle materials go through feeding port to the chicken feed grinder, mash materials go through feeding port to the chicken feed mixer machine directly.
- Usually, there are impurities in the particle material, so they will first be put into the pre-cleaner to remove the stones, clods and ropes etc. from them, and the go to the permanent magnetic tube to remove the iron part.
- The cleaning system in the chicken feed production line will help you to get the clean material and ensure that there's no unexpected impurities to damage the following chicken feed making machine. All cleaned materials will be stored and discharged in the bin for the chicken feed grinder machine. As the corn grinder for chicken feed is the key chicken food machine of crushing system.
- Evenly mix different materials into complete powder feed. All materials are mixed together in the chicken feed mixing machine. Usually the volume of the bin for chicken feed mixer, mixer and the buffer bin are all the same to ensure the chicken feed mixer equipment can work continuously batch after batch.
- Please note that the you must make sure the materials every batch in the chicken feed mixer are accurate to your formula(so you have to weigh the material every batch before feed them to the feeding port.).
- If it is OK for your budget, you can change for automatic chicken feed production line to let the computers do this. Premix feed are delivered into the chicken feed mixer directly because of the small quantity and accurate requirement.
- Powder feed(or mash feed) after mixing can be called complete chicken feed now. If you want only to make mash feed for layers or other baby chickens, you can send them to the product bin to be packed.

For pellet feed production
If you want to make pellet feed, the manufacturing process: Cleaning -- Crushing -- Mixing -- Pelleting -- Cooling --Screening --Packing (The specific process needs to be customized according to the actual needs of customers, and the chicken feed production process and chicken breeding technology of different countries and regions will be different)
For chicken pellet feed, the chicken mash feed will go to the following chicken feed making machines:
- Chicken feed pellet machine will form the chicken powder feed into chicken pellet feed. Usually we use ring die pellet mill for chicken feed pellet production line, by changing different ring dies of the chicken feed pellet mill we can make pellets of different sizes for different animals.
- As we have add steam to the chicken pellet making machine, the pellet out from the chicken feed pellet making machine will be about 80ºC, moisture 15%-16%, not suitable to pack, so we need to cool them.
- Fan, cyclone, airlock and necessary pipes form a system to provide airflow for the counter-flow cooler, chicken pellet feed will be cooled in the pellet cooler and discharged. After cooling, the temperature of the chicken feed pellets will be about 2-3ºC above the room temperature and with 13% moisture more or less.
- Usually we will add chicken pellet crumble under the pellet cooler machine. If we are to make small pellets for chicken, directly making it from the chicken feed pellet machine will reduce the capacity of the whole chicken feed plant and cost more energy, we can first make bigger chicken feed pellets and then send it to crumble to make it smaller.
Equipment needed in chicken feed pellet production line
Chicken poultry feed production line of different sizes often use different equipment. However, some basic equipment of feed processing machines are the same.
According to the process flow of chicken feed processing plants, it generally includes raw material receiving and cleaning equipment, conveying equipment, crushing equipment, batching equipment, mixing equipment, granulation equipment, expansion equipment, spraying equipment, ventilation and dust removal equipment, packaging equipment and automatic control system.
- Raw material receiving and cleaning equipment:
mainly includes floor scales, primary cleaning screens, cylindrical silos, etc.;
- Crushing equipment:
includes magnetic separators, feeders, crushers, etc. Among them, there are many types of crushers, and hammer and claw crushers are commonly used, and micro-crushers that require finer particle sizes are required;
- Batching equipment:
generally uses electronic automatic batching scales;
- Mixing equipment:
horizontal double-axis (single-axis) blade mixers, horizontal spiral mixers, vertical mixers, and waist drum mixers for producing premixes are used;
- Feed pellet equipment:
includes steam boilers, conditioners, granulators, coolers, grading screens, crushers, etc.;
- Liquid spraying equipment:
includes liquid storage tanks, vacuum pumps and flow meters;
- Ventilation and dust removal equipment:
includes suction fans, shakers, dust collectors, etc.;
- Packaging equipment:
includes packaging scales, sealing machines, etc.;
- Conveying equipment:
screw conveyors, bucket elevators, scraper conveyors, belt conveyors and pneumatic conveying equipment are commonly used for conveying equipment;
- Central control system:
It is the brain of the entire chicken feed production line process, and the control systems of various equipment are concentrated here.
